DR LLOYD DORRINGTON
Gastroenterologist/Endoscopist and Co-director of the Gold Coast Centre for Digestive Diseases.
Lloyd Dorrington undertook his undergraduate training in Brisbane, graduating in 1973. He attained his Specialist Degree in 1980 and his post-graduate training was in both Brisbane and Sydney.
After four years as the inaugural staff physician at the Gold Coast Hospital, Lloyd underwent further post-graduate training at Guy's Hospital in London and since 1985 has been a practising gastroenterologist on the Gold Coast in both the private and public spheres.
His research interests in the past have included Helicobacter pylori and Hepatitis C. He established the Liver Clinic at the Gold Coast Hospital and is now the principal at The Liver Centre at Brockway House. He practices upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy at both Allamanda and Pindara Private Hospitals as well as the Pindara Day Procedure Centre and Allamanda Surgicentre. His areas of special interest include gastrointestinal (stomach, oesophagus and colorectal), cancer screening and liver disease.
Lloyd and his staff focus on providing a friendly and personalised practice based on the more traditional approach to medicine.
